2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Vin de Terroir 750 ml
From the Winemaker
Deep, saturated color to the rim. A gorgeous, deep, ripe red fruit bouquet (berry, cherry, & plum) with the telltale mineral notes of our Renaissance terroir, and cocoa powder. On the palate, more density than on the nose with a noticeable 'dusty' quality - very deep, rich, underlying, concentrated fruit and noticeable tannins which will assist long aging (15-20 yrs.) With an elegance similar to the 99 vintage of this wine, the 2000 has a more fruit forward quality than most of our reserve-level reds.

Medium to dark garnet in color, this wine smells of cherry and tobacco and cedar. In the mouth, crushed herbs, cherries and forest floor mix with tightly wound tannins and an earthy, mineral backdrop. Still tightly clasped at this point in its evolution, the wine is nonetheless juicy.
